Design Module
General |
Added: After a new version has been installed, a pop-up message will appear to remind you to check the Help system for information about new features and fixes. |
Project List |
New report: The "Specification Catalog" report prints all unique specs across all projects in an efficient format, based on the vendor and catalog # fields, showing the most recently edited version of each and the project where that example can be found. Important: If you have a large database, this report can be hundreds of pages long. We recommend that you preview it and use the preview menu's "last page" button to determine how long it is before sending it to a printer. Some may find that printing this to a PDF or XPS file accessible to the whole office may be the best way to use this report, since PDF readers include good "Search" options. |
Vendor List |
New report: The "Specification Catalog" report is the same report as that added to Project List reports, but is available on the Vendor List to allow use of the "Current vendor" option (on the Print function's setup screen) to print a cross-project catalog for a single vendor. |
Room List |
Enhanced: The display of a room's contents is more complete, showing each object's cost, price and extended totals for each, in addition to the existing display of object budgets. Add> Import command, Fixed The Import option produced a "uniqueness of index..." error if the same finish object (tag) was used on multiple finish locations in the same room in the source project. This was not a common occurrence among users and only appeared during testing. Fixed: A "<filename> not found" error could occur when saving other room changes after having used the Add> Import command previously (that is, this only occurred if you imported a room, then added, edited or cloned any other room during the same session). Fixed: In recent intermediate versions, the room list displayed odd visual behavior if called using a "power editing" shortcut, either not appearing at all or not displaying editing changes (even though these changes were actually saved). |
FF&E Worksheet |
Fixed Enhanced The "Material Reference" report did not find any results when used with some queries. In addition, the options for this report have been changed, although its default behavior is the same as it was as of version 3.2.33:
New Both the "Object Illustration Sheet" and the "Object Illustration Sheet (Multi-image) reports have been enhanced with versions that are sorted by location ("by Area" and "by Area, Room"). Note that the "area, room" version may be much longer (in printed pages) in hotel projects where the same objects are used in multiple rooms. Note: a quantity total problem that occurred in the "by area" version in intermediate version 3.02.50 was fixed. [Note: The "Object Illustration Sheet" reports were replaced by the more powerful "Illustration Sheet" format in later versions.] Enhanced The Object Illustration report types now include the vendor's email address when the full vendor information option is selected. Report fixed: "Finish Schedule by Type" and "FF&E Schedule by Type" Fixed A change made in intermediate version 3.02.50 truncated specification descriptions longer than 255 characters when they were printed on these reports (this had no effect on the actual entries). |
Object List |
Enhanced Added the "FXT" (Fixtures) object class to allow you to differentiate between this type of FF&E item. This ties to the new "List of object classes" quick filter for the Materials Reference Report, and can of course be used with the Query tool. Fixed Although this was not reported by any users, there was a potential to see a "<filename> not found" error when saving an object after having used the Add> Import command in a previous operation (similar to the issue that could occur after importing a room, above). |
Specifications |
New fields: The "% Recycled Content" and "Recycled original" fields can be used to record basic "green" information about, respectively, the recycled content of the product being specified and for renovations, whether the product it is replacing was then recycled. The contents of these fields are transferred to matching new fields on order items created from them. More information is available in the Specifications List section. Enhanced: Clone command. When cloning a specification that contains values in the spec status fields, the Clone command will display a "Clone Options" form that allows you to select which status fields will be cleared or retained: The default selection of status fields to be cleared is based on the assumption that cloning a fully detailed spec is usually done for administrative reasons later in a project (whereas a newer spec would not trigger this pop-up at all, since no status fields would have been entered yet). New and enhanced reports: The "Specification Status List" is a new report on the Spec screen that shows a more detailed view of the various status fields on the screen as well cost, price and the presence of an image. It has a version sorted by Spec ID and one sorted by Vendor ID. Also, some of the existing reports ("Spec Detail Report" and "Spec Detail Sheet" have been enhanced to include a thumbnail image if one has been attached to a spec. |
Purchasing Module
(These only apply if you have the Design/Purchasing version)
Processing |
New function: Close Orders, which allows the user to close multiple orders in one operation (typically, this would be used to close all the remaining orders for a completed project or a portion of one. |
