General

Complete redesign of all major screens using 1024 x 768 form size to take advantage of larger monitors with a simplified layout showing more data at a time (see the “New Screens” document for details of all screen changes).

All existing command functionality and procedures from the 1.5.xxx version are essentially the same, except where fixes and improvements were incorporated.

Added more visual feedback: Required fields are highlighted, the lists on the more complex screens now include boldfacing to highlight sort groups such as rooms or vendors.

Added creation of FF&EZ-Export subfolder in user's documents folder, changed all import and export utilities to use this and the existing FF&EZ-Import folders as the default locations for file transfers.

FF&E Worksheet

Ordering Worksheet report: Added options to print estimated tax and freight plus affected totals.

Added “quick-edit” capability: Holding the Ctrl button as you click on the button for a “parent” screen will open the screen in edit mode for the current parent (e.g., the primary spec). (Note: also see later “double-click to edit” option in version 3.1.12)

Objects

Added "quick-add" options for automatically adding 1 or 2 components to an object as the object is created. This opens up a new method for building projects with specs already attached to objects before the products are selected. Components added this way can be skeleton specs (the default) or prototype specs automatically pulled from the Library, but can also be completely detailed specs from the existing list or added on the fly.

Specifications

Importing: Added controls to allow user to select which critical fields (such as "Price" and "Type") get updated so that existing entries can be protected when it would not be appropriate to replace them.

Changed vendor discount layout, adding calc popup to conserve screen space without losing functionality (but see further changes in version 3.2.8).
